Supreme Court of the Russian Federation

The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation is the highest judicial body for civil cases, cases of resolving economic disputes, criminal, administrative and other cases, jurisdictional courts, formed in accordance with the Federal Constitutional Law "On the Judicial System of the Russian Federation" and federal laws.

The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, in the procedural forms provided for by federal law, exercises judicial supervision over the activities of courts formed in accordance with the Federal Constitutional Law "On the Judicial System of the Russian Federation" and federal laws, considering civil cases, cases to resolve economic disputes, criminal, administrative and other cases within the jurisdiction of the said courts as a court of supervisory authority, as well as within its competence as a court of appeal and cassation.
