Story Musgrave (born August 19, 1935 in Boston) is a retired American astronaut. Besides being an astronaut, Musgrave has also held occupations as a statistician, aircraft pilot, officer in the armed forces, and chemist. He holds citizenship in the United States.
Musgrave's educational background includes several prestigious institutions. He attended Syracuse University, University of California–Los Angeles, University of Kentucky, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, St. Mark's School in Massachusetts, Marietta College, and Dexter School.
Throughout his career, Musgrave has been recognized with several awards, such as the United States Air Force Post-doctoral Fellowship, National Heart Institute Post-doctoral Fellowship, Reese Air Force Base Commander's Trophy, American College of Surgeons I.S. Ravdin Lecture, Flying Physicians Association Airman of the Year Award, American Academy of Achievement's Golden Plate Award, and admission to the International Space Hall of Fame.
