Stoplight offers an API design, development, and documentation platform that allows users to design APIs with their visual designer, Stoplight Studio. Stoplight Prism allows users to create and collaborate on Mock API designs and invite internal or external users for feedback. And Spotlight Spectral facilitates testing and enforcing against style guides, documenting internal and external APIs, and utilizing and integrating workflows.

Stoplight's design platform was created to integrate into existing workflows to assist stakeholders working with APIs.The company participated in the Class 50 - Austin 2015 Spring cohort of Techstars and raised an estimated $118,000. Technical or non-technical users can design APIs with Stoplight Studio, as well as create and collaborate on them in OpenAPI and JSON Schema, with the help of the user interface.
