Steve Ells (born December 9, 1965) is an American restaurateur and chef. He was born in Indianapolis. Ells is the founder of Chipotle Mexican Grill, a fast-food chain of restaurants (81930707). He also served as the CEO and later became the former CEO of Chipotle Mexican Grill.
Ells studied at Boulder High School and later attended the University of Colorado Boulder. At the university, he pursued and earned his degree. After his education, Ells went on to establish his career as a restaurateur and chef.
