Stan Laurel

Stan Laurel , officially known as Arthur Stanley Jefferson , was a British-born individual with multiple occupations, including being a screenwriter , comedian , film director , film producer , and actor . He was born in Ulverston, United Kingdom, on June 16, 1890 , and died in Santa Monica, California, on February 23, 1965 .

Laurel received his education at various institutions, including Kings Priory School , Stonelaw High School , King James I Academy , and Queen's Park Secondary . Eventually, he moved to the United States and continued his career there .

Throughout his lifetime, Stan Laurel received several awards, such as the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award and an Honorary Academy Award .
