She made her debut as an actress in the role of Sophie Al Sabih in the TV series "To the Street" (2003).

She became widely known in the U.S. for her roles as Dr. Dalia Kadri in Shonda Rhimes' cult series "Grey's Anatomy" (2005-2021) and Fatin Jadmani in the TV series "Savage Girls" (2020).

Sophia Ali is the older sister of actors Kamran Taylor Ali and Shana Ali Taylor.
