Softmatter VC

Softmatter VC is a seed stage venture capital fund that focuses on making early investments. It is based in New York, New York and seeks to invest in companies operating in the sustainable food, fashion and consumer good sectors. Softmatter VC was founded in 2017 by Jake Sargent and Matthew Scanlan in New York City.

Softmatter VC believes brands with great ideas can change consumer behaviour, and they work to invest in those brands. Specifically, they look for brands they feel represent a forward thinking ethos with products they feel represent change.
