Having contributed to several music genres such as rock, heavy metal, nu metal, hard rock, alternative metal, metalcore, experimental hip hop, trash metal, traditional heavy metal, and hip hop music , Shavo Odadjian is the founder of the band System of a Down and has been associated with other organizations such as Linkin Park, Slayer, and Achozen .

He has also operated under the aliases DJ DecompozeR and DJ Tactic .
