Sergey Yesenin was born on October 3, 1895 in the village of Konstantinovo, Kuzminskaya volost, Ryazan district, Ryazan province, in a peasant family. Father - Alexander Nikitich Yesenin (1873-1931), mother - Tatyana Fedorovna Titova (1875-1955). Sisters - Ekaterina (1905-1977), Alexandra (1911-1981), half-brother [7] - Alexander Ivanovich Razgulyaev (1902-1961).

In 1904, Yesenin went to the Konstantinovsky Zemstvo School, after which in 1909 he began his studies at the parochial, second-class teacher's school [8] (now the S. A. Yesenin Museum) in Spas-Klepiki.

After graduating from school, in August 1912, Yesenin moved to Moscow and began working in the butcher's shop of the merchant Krylov, where his father served as a senior clerk. At this time, Yesenin lived in the Hostel of Lonely Clerks in the possession of the merchant N.V. Krylov (now the Moscow State Museum of S.A. Yesenin is located there). Later, Yesenin finds work in the printing house of I. D. Sytin.

In 1913, he entered the historical and philosophical department of the Moscow City People's University named after A. L. Shanyavsky as a volunteer. He worked in a printing house, was friendly with the poets of the Surikov Literary and Musical Circle.

The Moscow monument to Alexei Vasilievich Koltsov by the sculptor Sergei Syreyshchikov was erected in the public garden near the Kitai-Gorod wall on November 3, 1918, in the course of implementing Lenin's plan for monumental propaganda.
