Sergei Sobolev

Sergei L. Sobolev was a Soviet mathematician who studied mathematical analysis and partial differential equations. He was a Hero of Socialist Labor. Winner of three Stalin prizes and the State Prize of the USSR. Academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1939) in the Department of Mathematical and Natural Sciences.
