As it helps companies work with multiple recruiters on hiring employees, it is also an example of an online marketplace. It is an online recruitment marketplace that connects employers and recruiters.

The platform utilizes proprietary clustering algorithms and a deep neural network to scan millions of candidate resumes to provide the right candidates to employers. In doing so, the technology has reduced the average time to hire a candidate to 12 days, compared with the 81 day industry average. Search Party is based in Sydney, Australia but has offices around the world.

History

The business now known as Search Party was founded as a recruitment CRM for recruiters in Australia in 2011 by Jamie Carlisle, Stuart Gatenby, Paul Bird, and Damien Andreasen under the name Tempurer. In 2013 the company pivoted to an online marketplace for recruitment. The company is headquartered in Sydney, Australia.

Tempurer changed its name to Search Party in August 2013, then rebranded all the global businesses in 2014 (UK had been launched as talentparty.com). Ben Hutt took over as CEO in July 2014. The online marketplace Beta launched in Australia and UK in October 2014 and expanded into Canada in June 2015.

In June 2015 Search Party acquired JobAdvisor, an Australian employer review website.

On August 15, 2016, the company was publicly listed on the Australian Securities Exchange under symbol SP1.

On January 9, 2018 the company was delisted from the Australian Securities Exchange
