Samokat is a Russian express delivery service for food and household goods, as well as the company of the same name that owns the service, and is a joint venture of Sberbank and VK. The headquarters is located in St. Petersburg.
History
The company "Scooter" in 2018 was founded in St. Petersburg by entrepreneurs and former top managers of "Russian Post" and "Magnet" Vyacheslav Bocharov and Rodion Shishkov. Legally, the company "Scooter" consists of two legal entities LLC "Smart Retail" and LLC "Smart Space". Both of them belong to the Cyprus company Roboretail, Ltd. (Russian Roboritale LTD.). The main owners are Vyacheslav Bocharov, Rodion Shishkov and JV Sberbank and VK .
In 2019, Samokat attracted $10 million in investments from Sergey Gordeev's PIK Group of companies. The deal "PEAK Innovation" and "Scooter" was closed in July 2019. According to the Cyprus registry, the PIK structure received 27% of Roboretail.
