Robert William Seton-Watson (born 20 August 1879 in London, died 25 July 1951 in Skye) was a historian and British citizen. He was known under the pseudonym Scotus Viator. Seton-Watson was educated at the University of Oxford.
During his career, Seton-Watson specialized in the history of Eastern Europe, particularly the national movements of the Slavic peoples. He was the founder of a publication called "[The New Europe]", which aimed at promoting a better understanding of East-Central Europe.(
