Remarkable is a Sydney-based accelerator that is a division of the Cerebral-Palsy Alliance and is in partnership with the Telstra Foundation and Microsoft. It has the stated goal of making the world more physically, socially, and economically accessible for those with disabilities via the development of technology through start-up companies.
The company offers a 16 week accelerator program for start-ups that are focused on creating technology to better the quality of life for people with disabilities. Remarkable provides seed funding of $35,000 for 5% equity in addition to weekly master classes, intensive sprints, and check-ins. It offers support through coaching and mentoring as well as a space to work in at the Sydney Startup Hub in the central business district of the city. Start-ups involved in the program are expected to supply product demonstrations throughout the program to keep their product development on track. At the end of the program, there is the final demonstration and graduation day.
