In 2019, Refinery29 was acquired by Vice Media and the name of the merger of the two companies is Vice Media Group.

Product

The digital media site targets a female-centric audience and offers articles on topics such as politics, current events, social issues, fashion, and more. It also offers media in the form of videos and original series. Topics can be searched in categories including style, beauty, lifestyle, wellness, technology, work and money, food and drink, and more. There is also a shopping page on the website, which connects users to sales and recommended products.

Refinery29 also has a research division called Refinery29 Intelligence. It is comprised of researchers, marketers, and analysts that can offer insights to third-parties regarding advertising to the company's audience, which is predominately young women.
