Quentin Tarantino is an American actor, screenwriter, film director, film producer, and writer. He was born on March 27, 1963, in Knoxville, Tennessee, and holds United States citizenship. Tarantino is the founder of A Band Apart, an independent film production company, and the owner of the New Beverly Cinema, a historic movie theater in Los Angeles.
Tarantino is known for his innovative and often controversial films, which typically fall within the genres of action films and independent films. Some of his most notable directorial works include Django Unchained and The Hateful Eight, released in 2015. He is the son of Tony Tarantino, an actor and musician.
