Quantum Xchange

Quantum Xchange is a cybersecurity company that is developing Phio, a quantum-safe network that provides both traditional key -transmission services and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) via point to multi-point transmission across any distance.

Quantum Xchange offers custom managed service with its fiber network Phio and it's supporting hardware Phio Quantum Key (Phio QK) and Phio Trusted Xchange (Phio TX).

Phio QK, utilizes the quantum mechanical properties of photons to securely transmit data. Keys are derived from exchanged quantum information. Attempts to read the photon causes a change of the quantum state and that photon bit is rejected.

Phio TX, is a key management system that allows organizations to select the level of communications protection required. Organizations can select either traditional cryptography with out-of-band key delivery or quantum cryptography via QKD. Working within an organization's existing encryption environment, the Phio TX out-of-band symmetric key delivery enables encrypted, fault-tolerant, and load-balanced point-to-multipoint key transmissions across any distance without the need for dedicated fiber.

Quantum Xchange has raised a total of $10M in funding from a Series A round on Jun 26, 2018. The lead investors are New Technology Ventures.
