Photonwares Corporation proposes a new fiber optical switch configuration that can meet the required program performance specifications. The innovation is an electro-optical drift compensation switch design that will significantly advance the state-of-the-art. The design is based on our over 20 years of commercial expertise on electro-optical switches and their driving electronics development. A unique advantage of the proposed program is our fast-turn- in-house fabrication to validate the design concept. We will perform a design and analysis of the proposed approach as well as build a scaled-down prototype to demonstrate the feasibility in Phase I. In Phase II we will produce an appropriate number of fully functional prototype switches to provide performance metrics and marketing feedback.
