First president of Kazakhstan
Nursultan Nazarbayev is a politician and statesman from Kazakhstan . He was born on July 6, 1940, in Ushkonyr .
Nazarbayev has three children: Dariga Nazarbayeva , Dinara Kulibaeva , and Aliya Nazarbayeva . Besides his politican career, he is also the founder of Nazarbayev University .
Throughout his career, Nazarbayev has been awarded several prestigious awards. Some of these awards include the Order of the Cross of Terra Mariana , the Grand Order of King Tomislav , the Decoration of Honour for Services to the Republic of Austria , the Order of Friendship of Peoples , the Order of Friendship , the Amir Amanullah Khan Award , the Heydar Aliyev Order , and the Grand Cordon of the Order of Leopold .

He is immune from any criminal prosecution and continued to serve as the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan and Nur Otan Chairman until 2021. Nazarbayev is also a member of the Constitutional Council and an honorary member of the Senate of Kazakhstan, and was chairman of the Security Council until his dismissal from that post in response to the 2022 Kazakh protests.[13]
