Nikolay Pukhov

Nikolay Pukhov was born on January 13, 1895, in the Russian Empire. He was a politician, statesman, and an officer in the armed forces. Pukhov was educated at the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia and Malinovsky Military Armored Forces Academy. He is known for being a Colonel General in World War II and the first commander of the 8th Tank Army. Pukhov died on March 28, 1958, in Moscow. He held citizenship in the Soviet Union and was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.
