Nikolai Vavilov

Nikolai Vavilov was born on November 13, 1887, in Moscow and passed away on January 26, 1943, in Saratov. He held citizenship in the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union. Vavilov was a biologist, geneticist, geographer, scientist, professor, teacher, and explorer. He was educated at the Russian State Agricultural University.

Vavilov's birth name was Nikolai Ivanovich Vavilov. He was a doctoral student of Zenon Ivanovich Borevich and had at least one doctoral student, Valentin Kuzmin.
