Compact, low-phase-noise, fiber pigtailed, diode-pumped solid-state lasers are in great demand for electronic warfare applications. As a worldwide leading company in single-frequency fiber lasers, NP Photonics proposes to develop butterfly-type single-frequency fiber lasers by taking advantage of our mature short-length fiber laser technology based on our unique highly doped gain fiber and micro-optics packaging capability. In the Phase I program, we will demonstrate the feasibility of developing a diode-pumped single-frequency fiber laser oscillator at 1.55 um with an industrial butterfly package. Butterfly-type, single-frequency fiber lasers at 1.55 um meeting or exceeding the requirements of the Navy’s applications will be developed in Phase II.
