Mykola Bazhan (born September 26, 1904, in Kamianets-Podilskyi) was a poet, journalist, and writer. He held the citizenship of the Russian Empire and later the Soviet Union. Bazhan is known as the founder of Executed Renaissance, a literary movement in Soviet Ukraine during the 1920s and 1930s. He passed away in Kyiv on November 23, 1983, and is considered an important figure in the history of Ukrainian literature.
