Mother Mary Alphonsa, born on May 20, 1851 in Lenox, Massachusetts, was a writer and poet from the United States. She was the child of Nathaniel Hawthorne and Sophia Hawthorne, and attended the University of Maine for her education.
Her father, Nathaniel Hawthorne, was also her parent, while her mother, Sophia Hawthorne, was her parent as well. Mother Mary Alphonsa held United States nationality.
She passed away on July 9, 1926 in New York City.
