Mitchell Leisen

Mitchell Leisen (1898-1972) was an American film director, screenwriter, film producer, costume designer, and actor. Born in Menominee, Michigan, Leisen held a distinguished career in the movie industry, particularly in the 1930s and the 1940s. His notable works include "Hold Back the Dawn," "Kitty," "Lady in the Dark," "Death Takes a Holiday," "Remember the Night," "Hands Across the Table," "No Man of Her Own," and "Midnight," amongst others .

Leisen's diverse career had a major influence on the development of film industry. As a US national, he had citizenship and resided in the United States. On October 28, 1972, Leisen died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles.
