Amer al-Barkawi ( Arabic: عامر البرقاوي ‎; born June 20, 1997 ), better known by his pseudonym Miracle- (from English Miracle), is a Jordanian professional Dota 2 player currently playing for NIGMA GALAXY. He has dual citizenship: Jordanian and Polish (his mother is Polish)

Biography

The history of Miracle- as a player began with the multiplayer mode Defense of the Ancients , he started playing from the age of 5-6. Amer asked his mother to go with his older brother to a computer club, and he taught him the basics. Then Miracle- moved to Dota 2, calibrated to 5200 solo rating. In Dota 2, he was one of the best players in Ladder matches, that is, he played not in competitive Dota, but in ranked matches. Miracle's debut as a professional took place in the Balkan Bears team, where Amer joined in early 2015, but this team did not achieve success, and after 4 months he had to leave the team. Miracle- started to play a lot, and he already thought that he would never get into the pro scene.

In July 2015, Amer reached the 8000 single rating bar, thus becoming the second in this race, he was second only to Alivi "w33" Omar, which did not go unnoticed by professional teams, and a month later Johann "BigDaddyN0tail" Sandstein after The International 5 contacted Amer and other players, and so the (monkey) Business team was created. At the end of October, (monkey) Business changed its name to OG, while retaining its old roster, and along with Andreas "Cr1t-" Nielsen, Johann "BigDaddyN0tail" Sandstein, Tal "Fly" Izik (OG captain) and David "MoonMeander" Tan a few weeks later, Miracle- becomes the champion of the Frankfurt Major , in March 2016 takes 7-8th place at the Shanghai Major and in June 2016 wins the Manila Major, and OG become two-time Valve tournament champions. In May 2016 (during the Moscow Epicenter 2016) Miracle- becomes the world's first owner of 9000 single rating . Miracle- and his team came to The International 2016 as undoubted favorites, left the group from the first place, but lost the first series in the playoffs, lost the next series to the Philippine team TNC, so OG left the main tournament of the year, taking 9th-12th place, and Amer leaves the team, and in September 2016 he was signed by Team Liquid.

The start of the 2016-2017 season did not work out for Miracle: Team Liquid qualified only for DreamLeague Season 6 in the fall of 2016, and in this roster Amer missed the Major for the first time, losing qualifications for the Boston Major for the second slot in the tournament to Virtus.Pro. Having made a replacement in the roster, Team Liquid won DreamLeague Season 6, SL i-League Star-Series Season 3, passed qualifications for DAC 2017, where they take the last place. In March 2017, Team Liquid receive a direct invitation to the Kiev Majorand occupy 5-8 places there. In May Miracle- wins SL i-League Invitational #2. In June, Miracle- and his team defended the title of Epicenter Moscow champion, and a week later, Team Liquid received a direct invitation to the main tournament of the year, The International 2017, where Miracle- and his team took first place and received $10,794,903 dollars. He became the second player after s4 to win The International and 2 Majors from Valve: The Frankfurt Major and The Manila Major with OG and The International 2017 with Team Liquid .

At the end of 2016, Miracle- was recognized as the best newcomer of the year .
