Michael Nyman

Michael Nyman (born March 23, 1944) is a British composer, pianist, and musician. He was born in Stratford, London, and by birth, his full name is Michael Laurence Nyman. He holds British citizenship.

Nyman received his education from the Royal Academy of Music, King's College London, and Sir George Monoux College. His work spans various genres, including opera. In addition to his composing, he is also a pianist, musicologist, music critic, and film score composer. Nyman has contributed significantly to the music industry through his compositions and performances.
