Royal Academy of Music

The Royal Academy of Music is a public educational institution in the United Kingdom. It was founded in 1822 by John Fane, 11th Earl of Westmorland. The institution is located in London and is affiliated with the University of London as its parent organization. The Royal Academy of Music specializes in education, higher education, and operates as a university.

As an organization, the academy is accredited by the Privy Council. In addition, it is affiliated with Universities UK and the Association of Commonwealth Universities. The Royal Academy of Music operates two subsidiaries: the Royal Academy of Music Museum and the Royal Academy of Music Bach Prize.
