Meredith Frampton

Meredith Frampton (born March 17, 1894 – September 16, 1984) was a British painter known for his work in the portrait genre. He was born in St John's Wood, United Kingdom and held citizenship in both the United Kingdom and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. Frampton was educated at Westminster School and later studied at St John's Wood Art School.

George Frampton, Meredith's father, was a prominent British sculptor, and his mother, Christabel Cockerell, was an artist as well. Throughout his career, Meredith Frampton focused mainly on painting portraits, often depicting his subjects in a highly detailed, almost photographic manner. He passed away in London on September 16, 1984.
