Max Tegmark (born May 5, 1967) is a Swedish-American scientist known for his work as an astronomer and physicist. He was born in Sweden and holds citizenship in both Sweden and the United States. Tegmark is also a writer. He is the son of Harold S. Shapiro, an accomplished scientist in his own right.
Tegmark's educational background includes degrees from the Stockholm School of Economics, the Royal Institute of Technology, and the University of California, Berkeley.
