Mark L. Polansky (born February 6, 1956) is an American engineer, astronaut, aircraft pilot, and officer in the armed forces. He was born in Paterson, New Jersey and holds citizenship in the United States. Polansky has extensive educational background, having attended Purdue University, U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School, and J. P. Stevens High School.
Over his career, Polansky has held multiple occupations, including engineer, officer in the armed forces, astronaut, and aircraft pilot. He has also received the Meritorious Service Medal (United States) for his accomplishments and service.
