Lithium Ventures, also known as Lithium, is a London-based company that is developing a crowdsourcing platform that can be used for Web3 start-ups. It was founded in 2021, and its platform has completed raises on blockchains such as Solana, Polygon, Ethereum, and Binance Smart Chain.
Lithium's ecosystem is composed of three parts: incubator, launchpad, and community. The incubator is the initial step for Web3 start-ups to join Lithium. Projects that are accepted into the incubator receive funding and advisory from Lithium.
Projects can end up on the launchpad, where they can raise more funds through crowdfunding. Examples of projects include NFTs, decentralized finance (DeFi) projects, and tokenization of real-world assets. The projects have descriptions to explain the project, and investors can choose if they want to supply funds to them. Investors must be connected to Lithium with their digital wallet, such as MetaMask, to invest.
There is a pro version of the platform called Lithium Plus, which can be accessed by paying a fee. Benefits of using the pro version of the platform include special rewards, such as tokens, and a discount on all raises.
Lithium launched its token, IONS, in 2021. Holders of the token can participate in raises to invest in Web3 projects. When holders of IONS invest their tokens, they can earn passive income, similar to other investment strategies.
