Kevin Costner is an American actor, film director, producer, musician, guitarist, songwriter, and screenwriter. He was born on January 18, 1955, in Lynwood, California. Costner's birth name is Kevin Michael Costner.
Costner attended several educational institutions, including Buena High School (California), Villa Park High School, Mt. Whitney High School, and California State University, Fullerton. He is a citizen of the United States.
He formed the band Kevin Costner & Modern West, which produces country music. Costner is also known for directing and creating the films "Dances with Wolves" and "The Postman", as well as being a member of its board of directors.
Costner has received numerous awards throughout his career. Some of these include the Primetime Emmy Award, Golden Globe Awards, Golden Raspberry Awards, Critics' Choice Movie Awards, and the Academy Award for Best Director.
He is the father of seven children: Liam, Annie, Kayden Wyatt, Joe, Grace Avery, Lily, and Hayes Logan Costner.
In addition to his entertainment career, Costner is the owner of Fielders Stadium and founder of Autio.
