Kazuya Tsurumaki

Kazuya Tsurumaki (つるまき かずや) is a Japanese film director, animator, and animation director born on February 2, 1966, in Gosen, Niigata. He is a citizen of Japan and has directed several notable works, including FLCL (Fooly Cooly), Diebuster, and the Evangelion film series: Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone, Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance, Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, and Evangelion: 3.0+1.0.

Tsurumaki has also directed the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion and the original OVA series FLCL (Fooly Cooly).
