Joseph Addison Alexander (1809-1860) was an American professor, translator, and the son of Archibald Alexander, a prominent theologian. He was born on April 24, 1809, in Philadelphia and died on January 28, 1860, in Princeton, New Jersey. Alexander had a distinguished career, holding positions as a professor and a translator.
