Bakhtiyar Mammadov was born on September 29, 1993, in Almaty to an Azerbaijani father and Kazakh mother.
He studied musicology and management in the Kazakh National Conservatory.
Bakhtiyar Mammadov, better known under the pseudonym Jah Khalib, was born in Kazakhstan to an Azerbaijani family. He studied at a school with an English bias, in 2005 he entered a music school, where he learned to play the saxophone.
While still a teenager, Bakhtiyar became interested in rap. When Mammadov was 12 years old, a national conflict broke out in the country, and the Mammadovs were left homeless. For several years the family lived in a small country house.
Mammadov studied at the Faculty of Musicology and Management of the Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy. At this time, he began performing with Kazakh performers as a beatmaker.
