Hydraledger built a self-sovereign identity framework based on W3C standards to provide SSI solutions, store schemas, decentralized IDs (DIDs), keys, rights, and proof timestamps on a ledger for public verification, keeping verifiable claim (VCs) off-ledger.

Hydraledger is a community originally created to solve the societal imbalance due to decentralization in the four major pillars of the society.

The name ‘Hydra’ was sourced from the Greek mythical creature ‘Hydra’ which depicts the immortality of a truly decentralized brand.
