American playwright and screenwriter
Horton Foote, born on March 14, 1916, was an American playwright, screenwriter, actor, and film producer. He was born in Wharton County, Texas and held citizenship in the United States. Foote was the son of Harriet Brooks and the father of actress Hallie Foote.
Throughout his career, Foote worked on various notable works, with his most recognized work being "To Kill a Mockingbird". On March 4, 2009, Horton Foote passed away in Hartford, Connecticut.
