Henry Gale (astrophysicist)

Henry Gale (born December 9, 1874) was an American astrophysicist and physicist known for his work in both fields. Born in Aurora, Illinois, he held citizenship in the United States and was of American nationality.

Gale attended East Aurora High School and later received his education at the University of Chicago. During his career, he served as a physicist and an astronomer.

Notably, he was a doctoral advisor to Vern Oliver Knudsen and William Smythe, a physicist. Gale himself had a doctoral advisor in Albert A. Michelson.

Henry Gale passed away on November 16, 1942.
