Heinrich Gustav Magnus was a physicist and chemist born on February 5, 1802, in Berlin. He held German citizenship and was educated at the Sorbonne, a prestigious university in Paris. Magnus was a prominent scientist whose work contributed to the fields of both physics and chemistry. He had Eilhard Mitscherlich as his doctoral advisor and, in turn, mentored the doctoral student August Kundt. Heinrich Gustav Magnus passed away on April 4, 1870, in Berlin.
