HYPR Corp

HYPR Corp is a venture-backed, New York based company founded in 2014 that provides enterprises with decentralized authentication technology for accessing mobile, web, and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. HYPR provides a decentralized biometric tokenization scheme which it claims gives enterprises the option to replace the use of centralized password-based systems. HYPR focuses solely on authentication, while the management of people's identities is handled by third party companies such as ForgeRock and Okta, who are partners of the company.

HYPR Corp was founded in 2014 in New York City by a team of security researchers. The company’s authentication platform was unveiled at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 2015 in Las Vegas. It was listed as one of the top 10 best technologies of CES 2015 by ZDNet. In 2018 its CEO and co-founder George Avetisov was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 List in the Enterprise Technology category .
