Throughout her career, Stuart appeared in several notable films, including Laughter in Hell, The Invisible Man (cartoon series), It Could Happen to You, and Gold Diggers of 1935. She also starred in Roman Scandals, Titanic (film), The Old Dark House, and The Prisoner of Shark Island.
In addition to acting, Stuart worked as an artist. She was related to Arthur Sheekman.
