Gary Kildall

Gary Kildall (1942-1994) was an American programmer, computer scientist, and businessperson. He was born in Seattle, Washington, and held citizenship in the United States. Kildall is best known for founding Digital Research and developing the CP/M operating system.

Kildall studied at the University of Washington and Queen Anne High School in Seattle. He later began a career in programming and computer science.

During his lifetime, Kildall founded Digital Research, a company focused on developing computer software, and created the notable CP/M operating system. This work cemented his legacy as a prominent figure in the early days of the computer industry.

Gary Kildall eventually passed away in Monterey, California, on July 11, 1994, at the age of 52.
