Fedor Tokarev (born June 1871 in Rostov Oblast) was a firearm designer, gunsmith, engineer, politician. He is best known for his creation of the SVT-40 and the TT pistol. Tokarev received education in Novocherkassk.
During his career, Fedor Tokarev was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor and received the Stalin Prize. He passed away on June 7, 1968, in Moscow.
