Eric Idle is a British actor, screenwriter, and one of the comedians of the Monty Python group.Born March 29, 1943, in South Shields, County Durham, England, to Royal Air Force aviator Ernest Idle. Eric's father was in World War II, killed in a road accident on Christmas Eve 1945 when Eric was two years old. His mother assigned him to the Royal Wolverhampton School, formerly an orphanage.
