Emil Warburg (born on September 3, 1846 in Altona, Hamburg) was a German physicist best known for his research on energy, thermodynamics, and optics. He studied at the Humboldt University of Berlin, where he was a student of the physicist August Kundt.
Emil Warburg is the father of Otto Heinrich Warburg, a famous biochemist and physiologist. Emil Warburg passed away on July 28, 1931, in Bayreuth, Germany. His contributions to the field of physics continue to be remembered as part of the legacy of German science and research.
