Edward Burns

Edward Burns (born January 29, 1968) is an American film producer, film director, television director, television producer, writer, actor, and screenwriter. Born in Woodside, Queens, he holds citizenship in the United States. Burns gained his education from multiple institutions, including State University of New York at Oneonta, Hunter College, State University of New York, University at Albany, SUNY, Chaminade High School, and George W. Hewlett High School. As both director and author, Burns is known for his work in Purple Violets.
