E. B. White (born 11 July 1899 in Mount Vernon, New York), was a screenwriter, poet, writer, journalist, and novelist. He held citizenship in the United States. White was educated at Cornell University. He is best known as the author of the beloved children's book "Charlotte's Web". E.B. White passed away on 1 October 1985 in Brooklin, Maine.
