David Baltimore (born March 7, 1938) is an American physician and microbiologist. He was born in New York City and currently resides in the United States. A highly educated individual, Baltimore attended institutions such as Swarthmore College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), John L. Miller Great Neck North High School, and Rockefeller University.
Throughout his career, Baltimore has mentored several doctoral students, including notable biologists Nancy Andrews, Victor Ambros, and Gary Ruvkun. He has made contributions in the fields of medicine and microbiology through his work as a founder of organizations like PACT Pharma and Calimmune.
