Dave Bautista

David Michael Bautista, Jr. is an actor and professional wrestler. He was born January 18, 1869 in Washington, DC. Dave Bautista did not begin his acting or wrestling careers until after age thirty. Bautista has also written and published an autobiography titled Batista Unleashed which was released on October 16, 2007.

Dave Bautista began his professional wrestling career in 2000, when he signed with the then-World Wrestling Federation (WWF, renamed to WWE). In May 2002, he made his debut on SmackDown. His original ring name was Batista, though shortly into his career he became known as "The Animal." He won his first championship in 2003 (WWE Tag Team Championships). In 2005, he won 2005 Royal Rumble Match becoming the World Heavyweight Champion. Over the course of his career, he became a six time world champion. His stepped away from wrestling in 2010, but returned to the sport two more times over the years, in 2013-2014 and in 2018. As of 2019, he is retired from wrestling.

Bautista began acting in 2006 and appeared in Wrong Side of Town (2010), House of the Rising Sun (2011), The Man with the Iron Fists (2012), The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption (2012), and Riddick (2013). He briefly returned to MMA, in order to promote the 2014 film Guardians of the Galaxy. Dave Bautista is known for more recent roles in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), Blade Runner 2049 (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Hotel Artemis (2018), Escape Plan 2: Hades (2018), Final Score (2018), Stuber (2019), Avengers: Endgame (2019), Escape Plan: The Extractors (2019), and My Spy (2020).
